HIGHLIGHTS

Lake Bled

Lake Bled is of course most famous of them all. Slovenia’s pride, “a must” for every tourist. But what is it that truly attracts people? Lake itself with surrounding Alpine scenery? Island on the lake with the gothic church? Or is it the castle, high above the lake, controlling the valley like and old bodyguard? Everybody should discover it by themselves what makes their heart beat faster in a place like this and why it is so special.

We will take a “pletna” ride to the island. It’s a traditional boat, made by locals, operated by a single rower with two long oars. Don’t worry, you will not row and we will not leave you on the island. But we do want you to have this experience. So relax and enjoy and let us handle everything.

Later we will take some time for a coffee, beer or traditional local cream cake, or just have a short walk by the lake’s coast. And of course, we will visit the castle – for the views and the museum inside. 

Vintgar Gorge

Later we will continue our day with Vintgar Gorge. All we can say is that you will be surprised by stunning views which it can offer. The gorge is 1.6 kilometres long and all the time there is a wooden path that takes you through it. But we can only show you the way, you’re the one who has to walk through it. And discover its wonders, diverse vegetation and natural pools beneath you. Oh yea, it also has a waterfall!

After all this we will have to take some time for a lunch (optional). What about something local? Yes? Nice. No? No problem, we will try our best to find something, that will suit you.

Lake Bohinj, Savica Waterfall and Alpine dairy farming museum

Lake Bohinj, Lake Bled’s bigger brother. One should know that one does not simply walk into Bohinj - and stays calm about it. Bohinj Lake is the biggest Slovenian Alpine lake and unlike anything else in Slovenia. Locals are very proud on their legacy and nature - and they should be.

First we will visit the Savica Waterfall – one of the lake’s main sources. To come to the waterfall we will take about 20 minutes’ walk uphill – no worries, it’s not too difficult. For those who decide to wait for us in the parking lot – no problem, have a coffee, ice cream or take a look at a souvenir shop. But it’s worth it. Savica’s watercourse is divided into two parts in the hidden undergrounds. The famous A-shaped waterfall normally comes into sight at an altitude of 836 m and is 78 m high.

Later, after we descend, we will stop by the lake and have some free time – for a walk or just to relax and enjoy in Slovenia’s biggest national park. You deserve it!

We would suggest to, before heading back, make a short stop at Alpine dairy farming museum. This museum shows us how people used to live here – the traditional way. We will take a look at the old house and some interesting artefacts inside and then wave our goodbye to the Slovenian Alpine area. But maybe not for good?

Firstly – a smile on your face. But we also recommend a nice comfortable shoes in which you can also walk a little uphill and appropriate clothes – as in this mountain area it can be a little cooler.

We reserve the right to change the content of the programme in case of a higher force.
Our scheduled day trips have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 passengers (single traveller surcharge is €50 when there are no other bookings for the tour).

Pohod je namenjen vsem, vsekakor pa je potrebna določena stopnja fizične pripravljenosti. Pot je urejena, tehnično nezahtevna. Prepadnih področij ni oz. so zelo dobro zaščitena. Priporočamo udobno pohodno obutev z narebrnim podplatom, rezervno obleko, pohodne palice, zaščito proti soncu (krema z zaščitnim faktorjem, sončna očala, pokrivalo), hrana in pijača iz nahrbtnika.

PLAČILO

Po potrditvi naročila s strani agencije Experience Slovenia, prejmete vso potrebno dokumentacijo s plačilnimi podatki po elektronski pošti. V roku 8 delovnih dni je potrebno poravnati akontacijo (40%); tako se rezervacija za izbrani termin potrdi. Preostali znesek pa mora biti poravnan najkasneje 14 dni pred odhodom. Plačilo si lahko razporedite po obrokih ali pa poravnate vse v enkratnem znesku preko UPN obrazca ali spletnega bančništva.
